Sever the skies, bury the truth

[Everyone that Cecil knows gets a colorful Christmas card taped to their door. They also get an equally colorful tin full of cookies and candy. Feel free to have your character, ANY character, comment on this. ^^]

I'm mostly done with shopping for people. One more person left, and then I can start wrapping everything up.

SNOW! There's snow outside!

[ooc: Cue Cecil running outside to go play in the stuff. ;D]

[Here, have an accidental video recording from Cecil's web cam. :P]


[Cecil is standing in one corner of his room with his back to his computer, and he's wrapped up in doing.. something. Whatever that 'something' is, it's enough of a distraction that he doesn't notice his web cam is on. A few seconds tick by, and he then steps back and ties his hair back rather messily. Thankfully it's not bubblegum pink anymore... for the most part. He moves aside now to pick up something from the floor. There is an easel in front of him, and now that he's not blocking it, a canvas can clearly be seen. It is most definitely not blank.]

( Just a few splatters of paint, really. )

[Gathering up several paint brushes, Cecil looks over his artwork, and makes several comments aloud to himself.]

Painting is very messy. I do like the way this turned out though. I should find a frame for it as soon as it dries.

[He appears to be thinking quite deeply to himself. Then, as he turns around and comes back to his computer, he murmurs something else under his breath.]

I wonder if she would like it...-- Oh no. Is this thing on?!

[Frowning, Cecil reaches over to fiddle with something, and then the video cuts out abruptly.]

I need to get the heater fixed in my room. It's not working properly. But at least I have extra blankets.

I'm in the mood for some hot chocolate.

[It took quite a bit of time to get his room back to the way he likes it. Now it's completely disheveled again in seconds. The sound of things being thrown around is heard, along with Cecil's frantic voice.]

...Ivory? Ivory?! Where are you?

...THIS is going to take awhile.

[Cecil just got back to his room, which is trashed courtesy of Kain. In the process of picking things up and putting things away, he's gone and left the door open slightly. It's just wide enough for a certain little pet of his to slip through without him noticing...]

I can't wait for Halloween again! Time to start looking around for a costume. Kain, you'd better not scare me again this year. Your costume gave me nightmares last time. >=/

What a strange dream.

There are no astronomy classes offered here, I've noticed. Not that I'm aware of, at least. That's really unfortunate- I'm quite taken with the subject and would have loved to continue learning more about the stars and planets... I know a little bit already, but it's fun sharing what you know with others, especially if it's something you're really interested in.

First week of classes are over. That wasn't so bad.

Poor thing... I'll bet she's hungry.

I think I'll name her Ivory.

[ooc: Cecil found a baby chocobo wandering around near the forest earlier. After much looking around and being unable to find it's mother, he's decided to keep her.]

I may take another class or two, but... I haven't decided yet. I've fallen behind a little in my studies, I think. Oh well. One thing at a time. I've recently come to realize I shouldn't stress so much about these things and just concentrate on what makes me happy. I was watching a television program earlier, and one of the lines from the show was this:

"Every human has his own talents, his own flaws. The smart ones have learned to use their talents, but the happy ones have learned to accept their flaws."

I like that a lot.

Being happy means being myself. I'm comfortable with the way my life is right now. I really am. Although... I have been thinking about getting a pet. Maybe a cat? Hmm...
